About Me

Hi, I’m Katie!

On paper, I’m a Canadian Ottawa-born Yoga Instructor, Meditation Teacher, and Writer. But how about we leave the formalities at the door so you can come on in and really get to know me. 

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved using my voice and moving my body. I was either singing into a microphone, loudly entertaining my peers with fictitious stories, or dancing around a studio until I could no longer stand. Come to think of it; not much has changed. Now, I’ve graduated to singing in the car, my stories are more likely to be based on facts, and I’ve mostly traded dancing for yoga, but I’d like to think I’ve kept things pretty consistent.

I’ve always felt drawn to innovators, pioneers, and those who march to the beat of their own drums and never wanted to be ordinary. Instead, I’ve always craved connection with people who are different from me and who inspire me to be unique and think outside the box. I think that being a teacher and a student specifically in the wellness community are my favorite ways to find and feed these connections. I love understanding a different approach to practices and life and re-learning that the world is multifaceted with limitless possibilities.

I feel an abundant amount of connection to the wellness and yoga communities because there’s so much space for everyone to express and explore their individualities. This ultimately fuels the fire inside of me to learn, create, and share.

I also love to express myself through writing and dancing, elements that are easily picked up on through my offerings. I love to travel and experience other cultures, I love to eat and cook, and I love spending as much time outside and in nature as possible.

I’m interested in all things stars and planets (Astrology and I are well acquainted), any personality test, love language or human design concept, social justice, philosophy, and of course all things wellness like nutrition and anatomy.
